Patrick Gwimbi is a Professor of Environmental Health at the National University of Lesotho. His research and scholarship interests are in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Toxicology, Global Warming and Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction and Environmental Health in general. Currently Professor Gwimbi is the Head of Environmental Health Department at the National University of Lesotho. Among his numerous awards for research are: The African Climate Change Fellowship Program (ACCFP) in 2012, OSSREA Research Grant 2003, 2008 & 2011. Professor Gwimbi has been active in many international professional organisations, including: Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), Global Alliance for Disaster Reduction (GADR), Organisation for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA) and International Society of Environmental Geotechnology (ISEG). Professor Gwimbi is a widely published author in the areas of Environmental impact Assessment, Global warming and Climate Change, Environmental Toxicology and water supply and sanitation.
