Prof. Violet Nabwire Opata is an Associate Professor of Educational Communication and Technology, and the Head of Centre of Teacher Education at Moi University. She holds Ph.D (2005) and MPhil degrees (1998) respectively from Moi University, and a B.Ed degree (1992) from Kenyatta University. Professor Opata has extensive university administration experience and is affiliate to several institutions including: adjunct professor in the school of Liberal Arts of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis; Kenya National Academy of Science (KNAS); Nelson Mandela University; University of Kwazulu-Natal; Dar ES Salaam University, Commissioner of University Education; National Research Fund (NRF); Partnership of African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), Pedagogical leadership (PEDAL). Her research interest is in: Curriculum Instruction, Pedagogy, Educational technology Innovations, HIV/AIDS education, and Early childhood Education. Professor brings on board, her expertise in research, project development and Planning, implementation & Management, and monitoring and evaluation, and Consultancy in training.
